We are currently recruiting on behalf of a care home located in Crowborough, a beautiful part of East Sussex. Our client has a need for caring people who have a real passion for providing care & support to elderly people, and people with dementia. These are full-time permanent positions, working 7am to 7pm (days) or 7pm to 7am (nights). Pay rates are £7.40 for days and £8 for nights.
Remuneration
You will be paid a basic hourly rate for the hours you work. In addition you will be paid holiday pay. Your rates of pay are:
Basic Weekday Hours £ 7.40 per hour
Nightshift £ 8.00 per hour
The working week hours will be 44 hours per week plus overtime if this is required.
Any overtime hour work will be paid at rates as detailed in the employment contract.
The duty rota will be completed 4 weeks in advance in shifts of 5.5 or 11 hours per day/night.
You will benefit from 5.5 weeks of paid annual leave according to our company policy.
Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses to and from work.

As a Home Care Assistant you will:
• Assist and support service users with all aspects of their personal care whilst helping them to maintain their independence
• Offer stimulation and motivation through conversation, reading, writing, hobbies, recreation and support service users to maintain links in their community and family
• Undertake practical tasks which will include laundry, shopping, housework and generally helping service users maintain their homes, as well as meal preparation, feeding assistance, assisting with medication and supporting service users with their nutritional needs
• Play a key role within the organisation and be fully supported
