A very well regarded private secondary school less than one hour from Lagos, Nigeria is seeking a Head of Design Technology. The successful candidate will lead this curriculum area and ideally have experience of preparing students for IGCSE examinations and the IB Diploma. This position is to start in January or April 2012
Students follow the English National Curriculum at KS3, IGCSE in Year 11 and A Level/ International Baccalaureate Diploma is planned for Years 12 – 13. The school is full boarding and all staff are expected to contribute to the co-curricular life and duties in this very busy school.
Applicants will have management experience, the flexibility, adaptability and tenacity to work in an overseas environment, and enjoy working in a boarding school. They will also be expected to lead and support their teaching colleagues in current international teaching and curriculum trends using the Cambridge IGCSE and IB Curriculum as a framework for teaching and learning.
