Great White Shark Conservation Program in South Africa

SOUTH AFRICA / Global Vision International

Volunteers will gain theoretical and practical training during the program and will attend classes to learn about Great White Sharks and their behaviour. Volunteers will also gain first-hand experience of some of the most exciting White Shark research projects; surveys of wounded and entangled seals on Seal Island and shore and boat-based observations of seal/shark interactions, manual acoustic tracking of white sharks, tagging and genetic sampling of white sharks, photo identification, recording and entering behavioural data.
