ROMANIA / Hospices of Hope
Hospices of Hope is a Christian charity which supports hospice care in Romania and the surrounding countries. We are looking for a motivated and well organised individual to work with our partner charity in Bucharest, Romania.
This is a fantastic opportunity to assist with organising events, support fundraising activities, provide excellent customer service to the charity’s supporters and play a part in promoting the activities of one of the largest charities in Romania.
The successful candidate will help to recruit and support participants and guests for a diverse range of events and initiatives including (but not exclusive to):
• The Bucharest International Marathon
• The Edelweiss Ball
• The Edelweiss Fashion Show
• Annual 2% Campaign
• The Annual Football Competition at Steaua Bucharest FC
• Plus many other smaller events
You should demonstrate experience in fundraising and/or events, excellent communication skills, a ‘can-do’ approach and be an organised and proactive team player. Marketing experience would be beneficial and you must also be comfortable building a rapport with supporters, celebrities and donors both over the phone and face to face. You must also be fully competent with Microsoft Office.
The successful applicant will commit to spending 12 months living and working in Bucharest as part of our successful fundraising team. Ideally they will start on or before 1st September 2011, although this is flexible. A good ability with languages will be useful but not essential as English is the language used by the businesses we work with.
In return, Hospice Casa Sperantei offers you 2 return flights between the UK and Bucharest, FREE accommodation and living expenses of £300 per month. Interviews will be held at our office near Sevenoaks, Kent on 15th and 16th August.
