An adventurous and world-traveling family seeks a German speaking live-in nanny to care for their 5-year-old boy and 8-year-old daughter during their four-month sabbatical in Berlin. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the city and lifestyle in Berlin, lead an active life, enjoy travel and have a passion for education. The family is outgoing and adventurous and enjoy cycling and soccer. German, Hindi and English are spoken in the home and an interest in language is a big bonus!
The nanny selected will be a fluent German speaker and will be ready to jump in and assist with daily activities such as: preparing for school, light meal preparation, assisting with household duties, conversational German tutoring, and creating an unforgettable stay in beautiful Berlin. The family maintains a tidy home and would love if you value a similar environment. The nanny will need to be travel-ready as the family will be taking advantage of their time in Europe to explore surrounding cities and countries.
This position begins on September 1st. Compensation is DOE but commensurate with experience.
This position is only open to German speaking candidates who currently reside in the EU.
Responsibilities
* Child care duties include but are not limited to: preparing for school, tutoring with homework and school projects, accompanying kids to activities
* Collaborate with parents regarding scheduling
* Help with travel preparations, exploring the city, planning activities, and conversational German tutoring
* Support the family in areas such as scheduling, errands, logistics and research
* Light-meal preparation
Qualifications
* At least 2 years professional nanny experience
* Experienced traveler
* Valid passport
* Fluency in German
* Bachelor’s degree
* Live-in experience
* Love for travel
* Flexibility of schedule
