A recognised Cambridge English Preparation Centre has a vacancy for an English Teacher in Lanzarote from September 2020 until June 2021.
The position will be for a maximum of five afternoons per week, Monday to Friday, from 3.00pm until 8.00pm.
We can offer a rewarding experience, teaching English to small groups of Spanish students. We have a maximum of 8 students in each group. The students are organised into groups depending on their academic year at school. We cater for children from 3 years old up to 18 years of age. There is also the possibility to teach adult students.
We also have mixed age “exam” groups, organised according to the students’ ability in English. Students are prepared to take the Cambridge exams. The younger children can study for the Starters, Movers and Flyers exams and older students and adults can study for A2, B1, B2 and C1 Cambridge exams.
We follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in all classes.
No previous experience of teaching is necessary as training will be given. We require an A-level equivalent qualification in English or Spanish, plus a love of children and a desire to help them achieve their potential. We can assist you to obtain a TEFL qualification during the year, if you do not already have one.
We can help the right person to find accommodation on the island. You will have the opportunity to learn or improve your own Spanish.
