Reliable, energetic and hardworking teachers wanted for a private language institute in southern China. We are currently seeking 2 full-time teachers and 4 summer school teachers to start ASAP, no later that June 30th.
WEI is Guangxi’s leading provider of foreign language training, and currently has schools in four locations. One is in the provincial capital Nanning, host to the annual ASEAN expo; one is in Liuzhou, the ‘Dragon City’, famed for its breathtaking karst mountain scenery; one is in Guilin, a famous historic and cultural city with the breathtaking KARST mountain scenery; and the other is in Beihai, a natural coastal city famed for its beautiful silver beach. We are an overnight bus ride away from Hong Kong, and a five hour train trip to the Vietnamese border. We teach a variety of courses at our institutes, including general English, IELTS preparation, BEC (Business English Certificate) preparation and young learners (5-16). Our students are predominantly adults, and some teenagers and younger learners. We use both foreign and domestic materials, such as ‘Cutting Edge’ and ‘New Headway’. Most teaching is done in our schools, although we occasionally require our teachers to go to companies or state schools to teach. Contact hours – 25 per week, with at least a day and a half off each week. Max class size = 18 (on site)
Compensation package for full-time staff includes:
1) Return airfare for applicants outside China.
2) Accommodation, visa and health insurance.
3) Chinese lessons.
4) Generous local salary, dependent on experience and qualifications (4500 – 6500 RMB per month)
5) Paid holiday.
6) Help with setting up (opening bank accounts etc).
Summer teachers will be given a salary and accommodation (if necessary) and also a smaller travel allowance.
Qualifications:
1) University degree and recognized TEFL qualification.
2) Teaching experience preferred but not essential.
3) Native speaker or non-native speaker with IELTS score of at least 7.5
