We have small house in a mountain village in Crete and we are looking for someone who would like to stay for free (just pay electric and water, which cost pennies) in return for doing some renovation work – tiling, a bit of concrete (not much) and mainly refurbishing interior. No electricity or plumbing. It would be fairly basic, but with hot water, electricity, and basic comforts. Only 20 min drive from some really stunning beaches and very cheap places for excellent food. (person could borrow a small trail motorbike for transport). Would suit someone who really wants to discover real Cretan life in return for a bit of work.
