CANADA / WestSide Post Installation & Excavating
Want to explore the Canadian wilderness? We require a farm hand to help build fences for approximately 3 months (August, September, and October 2011). Our location is in the Okanagan region of British Columbia–right in the heart of beautiful scenery and a wildlife sanctuary!
Room and board will be provided. Duties include laying out fence posts, holding posts up for the post pounder to take over, installation of wire (hammering, rolling out, and tensioning), and building braces.
Your main base will be at Fitjamyri Icelandic Horse Farm (www.fitjamyri.com), but 4 to 5 days a week will be spent in the wilderness camping at the work site (where there will be power and water). You will have weekends and holidays off.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn our valuable trade with the bonus of being submerged in the beauty of our wonderful country!
