English teachers required in Xi’an, China
• No experience necessary
• No knowledge of Chinese language (Mandarin) necessary
Requirements – Candidate must:
• Be a native English speaker
• Be at the age of 23 or above
• Have no Criminal Record
• Possess a certified University Degree (in any subject)
• Possess a TEFL certificate- This can be completed after your application if necessary
Job Description –
• You will be given full training upon your arrival to Xi’an
• Students aged 3 – 13 (You will be accompanied by a Teaching Assistant for the younger classes)
• You will be working with a friendly team of Chinese teachers and other foreign teachers
• The Chinese staff will help you with any problems on a day to day basis (in work and out)
Working hours
Monday – Free day
Tuesday through Friday – 4.30-9.00pm (2.5 hours office time, 2 hours teaching)
Saturday, Sunday – Schedule can vary between 4 hours to 8 hours teaching on both days (with a substantial lunch break)
Holidays include all Chinese National Holidays in addition to Christmas and Western New Year.
Pay varies depending on your scheduled amount classes – average is 6000RMB per month paid into a Chinese back account that will be set up in your name.
Extra bonuses are available throughout your contract and upon a full year completion of contract, you will receive –
• End of year bonus – 2000RMB
• Flight allowance – 9000RMB
• If you are able to find a replacement for yourself (Not compulsory) – Replacement bonus -4000RMB
It is a 1 year contract that can be withdrawn from at any time with 45 days notice.
A full year working visa is provided for you along with a working permit, residency permit and bank account.
Accommodation is provided – a fully furnished apartment shared with one other foreigner, complete with internet, TV and other essential appliances.
