HONDURAS / Lake Yojoa Bilingual School
Come experience a new teaching culture in Central America! This is a great opportunity that will allow you to test your teaching skills, develop leadership skills and challenge yourself in more ways than you ever thought possible.
We offer a monthly stipend of L 10,500 which is more than minimum wage, to cover your food and personal expenses. We also offer a $400 airfare reimbursement (after the 10 month contract) and provide housing, wifi, electricity, water and transportation to and from school. Once you arrive, we provide private transportation to and from the Villeda Morales International Airport (San Pedro Sula).
We allow teachers the freedom to design and conduct lessons as they see appropriate by using your own skills, knowledge, and personal strengths. All teachers are responsible for creating and following weekly lesson plans for each class, assigning and correcting daily classwork, homework, quizzes and projects. As well as other academic duties which will be explained further on. Our institution runs Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM approximately.
We know that being a teacher is not easy, however over the weekends you have different places to enjoy yourselves. You can practice activities like hiking or kayaking and enjoy the beautiful weather. If you are a positive and flexible person, sensitive to cultural expectations, and able to make the most of minimal resources, this is the job for you.
