SRI LANKA / British Teachers Abroad
Currently seeking an English teacher in Bandarawela to teach Youth and Adult at basic and intermediate levels.
Normally the centres split the teaching into nursery and primary, then youth and adult.
Nursery/primary is based on Jolly Phonics type materials. Youth and Adult is based on the Sri Lankan school curriculum plus Cambridge/Oxford ESL text books.
Teaching is mainly by way of pen and paper/whiteboard.
Package is 20,000 Rupees in local currency plus a food allowance of 10,000 per month. Free accommodation, including utilities is provided as is all internal travel for work purposes.
4 month contract minimum, 6 months preferred. If the contract is for 12 months then on completion a 60,000 Rupees bonus is paid.
Teaching hours of circa 25 hours per week.
