SRI LANKA / British Teachers Abroad
The position is for a nursery/primary teacher at the British Teaching Academy centre in Bandarawela where you will work with one other teacher who covers youth and adult.
Teaching/Class time is up to 25 hours per week, 6 days a week (centre closes each Friday)
Wages are 50,000 Rupees per month paid in local currency (equiv. To £240/£250 pm)
In addition accomodation is provided (shared living and cooking space with the other teacher with your own bedroom). Utilities and internet are all paid for as is any internal travel for business purposes.
Teaching is mainly at a basic level and resources are pen/paper/whiteboard in the main. Phonics based.
A proper Visa is provided and the Sri Lankans are seeking a 6 month stay minimum (12 months preferred)
The centre asks that the teacher pays for their own flight to Sri Lanka.
