We are seeking volunteer English teachers in centres in Sri Lanka. The opportunity is to help those in need whilst gaining valuable experience in teaching abroad. We will provide food (or an allowance) and accommodation free of charge together with internal travel provided or paid for. All we ask is that you provide your air fare to Sri Lanka.
We are asking for a commitment of a minimum of 3 months.
Accommodation – free of charge. Accommodation varies but typically is a shared house with your own room.
Teaching Roles – basic and intermediate levels and also playgroup activities.
Food – dependant on the centre food will be provided “in house” or via a monetary food allowance.
Hours – we ask for a 20 hour working week spread up to 6 days a week with Fridays normally being the day the centre closes.
We currently have centres in Jaffna, Trincomalee and Bandarawela.
