Volunteer in Costa Rica and help to create a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for the children of low-income or single working mums, who otherwise are not able to afford quality child care. Much help is needed in this area and you will love working with the staff and improving your Spanish. We provide low-cost care to enable women to work and provide for their families, so this project not only helps with the development of the children, but it also empowers women and helps disadvantaged families get ahead.
Due to the high demand for this service and the growing number of children joining the centre, it becomes even more necessary for volunteers to help and keep this project running for the social and economic growth of the community.
Your role will be getting fully involved in the care, education and social activities within the centre. It will involve feeding at breakfast and lunch time, fun educational activities, social interaction activities and playing games with the children. A basic level of Spanish is all you need to communicate with the children.
