Cross River Gorilla Surveys in the Highland Rainforests of South West Cameroon

CAMEROON / Global Vision International

If you have ever dreamt of volunteering overseas to help protect some of the planet’s most endangered species, this wildlife conservation program is the adventure for you! Volunteers who join this African project will work on the frontline of conservation in Southwest Cameroon, using scientific survey methods to assess the distribution and threats to the endangered Cross River Gorilla and Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzees. This program aims to establish community wildlife reserves, which will protect these great apes from the threats to their survival. As well as meeting these amazing apes, volunteers will also take part in community education programs, meet local indigenous tribes and explore the spectacular surrounding rainforest.
