Journey to the spectacular Shimoni Archipelago on Kenya’s Indian Ocean. Here you will find friendly locals, rare coastal forests, stunning white sandy beaches, beautiful coral reefs and a team of international volunteers.
The first 12 weeks of the internship are spent training on GVI’s Kenya expedition which has three main focuses; primate monitoring in the areas coastal forests, dolphin research in the Kisite-Mpunguti marine protected area and finally community education and sustainable development programs.
On successful completion of the training stage you will gain further experience on a 12 week community work placement, either with one of our local partners or directly with GVI.
