Bartender/Front of House Member
Rimba Resort is situated on the northern tip of Pulau Sibu island, located within the State of Johor in Malaysia.
We are looking for someone who will have an appreciation for what we are offering, that is; a great opportunity to live, work, travel in Asia and experience life on an unspoilt tropical island in the middle of the South China Sea. Small island living is a unique way of life, you will get to meet and work with people from all over the world.
Your duties as a bartender & front of house team member will include:
-Providing exceptional hospitality to guests
-Preparing cocktails & drinks to a consistent high standard
-Daily prep for cocktail & drink ingredients
-Daily restocking of bar inventory
-Maintaining the cleanliness of the bar & lounge area
-Assisting with weekly stock take
-Assisting the restaurant during meal times to take drink orders, run food & provide customers with the best experience possible
-Assist with supply runs & maintain the cleanliness & organisation of the bar store
-Manage customer drinks bills
The successful applicant must have at least 1 years previous bar & hospitality experience, be able to work efficiently as part of a small team and thrive in a fast paced environment.
Hours of work and holidays:
Weekends are required as this is when we are busiest. We will provide a weekly rota giving each bar team member equal hours & breaks.
You will receive a minimum of 4 to 7 consecutive days holiday per calendar month where you can stay on the island, or head off island to experience Malaysia or neighbouring countries.
We offer:
3 meals per day & accommodation is provided at the resort. Monthly salary plus tip points & a share of cash tips. We also provide a bar allowance. All transport and logistics (excluding flights) are included.
