Responsibilities
The supervisor/team leader will have important responsibilities in supporting the manager on all the daily operations.
Typical activities will include:
– Preparing and serving wine glasses and wine bottles to customers and leading/coordinating the team
– Preparing cold food of different kinds, using hands and cutting equipment (important!)
– Preparing and serving hot drinks at the bar (coffee, cappuccino)
– Cleaning tables and general maintenance of the business during trade hours
– Facilitating and managing ad-hoc requests from the management
– Daily cleaning of equipment, rooms and floors
– Reporting to the manager
We expect candidates to be willing to share with customers information about our wine and our food, being ready to promote them. Full training will be provided on this.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for a dynamic person, passionate about food and ready to work in a fast paced environment with autonomy.
Required:
– Permit to work in UK
– Candidate must be looking to stay in UK for at least 10 months
– Fluent in English
– Willing to work on flexible schedule
– Good presence, positive attitude and customer-driven mindset are essential
Preferred:
– Knowledge of Italian is extremely valuable
– Experience in similar retail environment with customer-facing activities (waiter, bartender, etc.)
– Passion for wine, food and… Italy!
Zero-hours contract will be offered expecting up to 35/40 hours per week.
