If you are interested in developing your childcare skills, why not become a nanny in the USA? The Au Pair program offers you the opportunity to become fully immersed in a true American family.
Au Pairs work for 45 hours a week with childcare duties taking up 5.5 days a week and up to 10 hours a day. You will receive $195.75 a week and have two weeks paid vacation and one full weekend off a month. You’ll have an arranged interview with a local Au Pair coordinator once a month to check that everything is ok and they will be available to you throughhout your entire stay for help and advice.
As an additional bonus you’ll be given the chance during the year to complete 6 credits (approx 60 hours) of education. The host family will provide $500 towards this, however free courses are available and it’s up to you what you study. So you might want to expand a passion in photography or learn a new language, it’s totally your choice.
