My name is Monica, I’m 31 and my profession is psychologist. My partner (we are not married) is 35, he’s an economist and his name is Oskar. We also have two sons: Gniewko (3 years and 2 month) and Dobran (1 year and 4 months).
We live in a detached house with the garden in Wrocław (Poland).
To responsibly decide that you want to cooperate with our family you need to have some additional information:
1. my older son (Gniewko) spends the day in kindergarten, so every day you’ll spend more time with Dobran
2. you will work about 40 hours the week
3. you will have free weekends
4. you can speak English with me and Oskar; my sons can’t speak English jet but I think it’s only the matter of time 😉
5. it is obvious to me that you eat with us and you are using a common food 🙂
6. you will have the separate room for your exclusive use
7. your duties will include mainly child care and educational fun with them, but sometimes also preparing meals, cleaning, ironing, or other light household activities
I want to invite to our family a person who:
1. is able to establish thrust and good rapport with the children,
2. is open to new knowledge and new surroundings,
3. readily and quickly learns new things,
4. is able to react with patience and calmness to different (even difficult) situations that happen among children and adults,
5. is geared to teach children, not rebuke them,
6. is very responsible,
7. loves children, respects them (and eventually will loves my sons)
I partly homeschool my children. We use mainly Montessori approach and some of gentle revolution desired by Glen Doman. Sometimes we take Waldorf curriculum activities. You can read about us here: www.ponadsiebie.blogspot.com
What I wrote above means that while working with us you will get a set of materials, guidelines, albums and instructions so that you could work with these methods. This year I start a regular course Montessori teacher. The more I will require from you that you apply the Montessori method and philosophy in practice (I realize that you may not have these skills, so I share with you everything I know about the method and what I’ll learn during the course).
