COSTA RICA / WIDECAST Costa Rica
WIDECAST Costa Rica is a NGO that works for the Conservation, Research, Rescue and Rehabilitation of Sea Turtles on the Caribbean and Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
WIDECAST, an expert network of biologists, managers, community leaders and educators in more than 40 nations and territories, is committed to an integrated, regional capacity that ensures the recovery and sustainable management of depleted sea turtle populations.
We, WIDECAST Costa Rica, are looking for volunteers and research assistants for our sea turtles conservation projects on the Pacific (In-water studies, rescue center, mangrove reforestation and daily surveys) and the Caribbean (nesting beach projects) coastline. Our Osa In-Water Project and Pacuare Nesting Beach project are both very unique and special projects, in the middle of the fantastic Costa Rican Nature. Also, we would like to highlight that we always promote the local comunities’ participation in our work. In Moín we work in cooperation with Paradero Ecotours and provide research assistants and technical advice related with the scientific work with the sea turtles.
