TONGA / Fins ‘n’ Flukes
Fins ‘n’ Flukes is a diving and whale watching operation in the Kingdom of Tonga with added beach accommodation. We are looking for a cook for 5 months, starting June 1st 2013.
THE RESORT
We aim at providing affordable beach accommodation and meals for divers and other travelers who rather save money on the beds and get out and do things. We can currently host a maximum of 12 guests in 5 simple, clean oceanfront houses with personalized service being one of our main priorities.
THE JOB
You will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for guests and management with the help of a local kitchen hand, taking orders, serving food, stock management, maintaining the kitchen, preparing lunch for whale watching trips and being around in the daytime for meet and greet of guests.
Corresponding to our type of accommodation we are not looking for an expert fine-dining chef, but for someone who can prepare tasty home cooked style meals, is flexible and creative (food choices are limited on the island) and willing to help out in other areas of the business if necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Professional background in cooking, driver’s license, clean police record, fluent English

As a small business in a location off the beaten track we can offer you a modest wage with remuneration including free beachfront accommodation in resort staff house, free board, paid utilities, visa will be paid for, free use of bikes, kayaks and snorkel gear when available, free use of car when available, chance to go diving or learn how to dive, chance to swim with Humpback Whales.
