Do you have a strong personal drive to develop specific career skills needed in a tourist park management position in a developing country?
We are looking for an outgoing energetic person (or couple) who would like to live and work on the beautiful island of Bohol in the central Philippines. With us you can gain a huge range of hospitality and tourism work experience, managing our butterfly conservation center and accommodation.
The position is for NO LESS than 6-months, longer is preferred, live-in. There is the opportunity to stay longer with profit sharing incentives for the right candidate.
This management position requires multiple skills, such as, but not limited to: the ability to learn quickly, seeker of innovated solutions and particular problem solving, marketing, public relations, product development, be self-motivated, independent and have creative skills. Excellent communication skills and an outgoing friendly nature is a must. The ability to maintain a professional manner at all times with customers and colleagues and be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
The above skills are essential to ensure the smooth daily running of operations:
Restaurant, Kitchen, Gift Shop, Housekeeping, and Grounds.
Stock tracking and inventory systems.
Organizing special events, handling guest checking and activities.
Staff training, motivation and monitoring.
You will be working mostly with English speaking staff members. An interest in public relations, together with environmental work and extrema organizational skills would be key factors for success in this management position.
Please note that this is a voluntary position, with a small allowance, leading to profit sharing. There are some costs involved. (Flight cost or insurance expenses etc will not be covered)
