USA / Winant Clayton Volunteers
Winant Clayton Volunteers has been running a volunteering exchange for nearly 60 years between London and New York. Each summer a group of volunteers goes to New York City for 8 weeks. Volunteers are placed in a variety of community organisations or charities and may be working with the following groups; children, homeless, elderly and mental health. After their placement volunteers have two weeks to travel independently in the USA before returning to the UK with the rest of the group.
Volunteers are asked to help fundraise for their trip with our help!! The programme runs from Mid-June to the end of August. We are keen to recruit volunteers from all walks of life and any one between the ages of 18 and 80 can apply! We are especially keen on recruiting volunteers who are economically disadvantaged and we offer limited bursary places.
