We are looking for a capable Support Worker to work for our Ladies Hostel/ Mental Health Home.
Key Responsibilities:
• a. To attend to the physical, mental, emotional and social needs of the residents as assessed and to be as kind as possible.
• b. To give adequate support and personal care where necessary and maintain socially acceptable standards of behaviour without imposing your will on them, because the client group is vulnerable
• c. To maximise residents’ independence, dignity and choice.
• To acquaint yourself in the handover meeting and from the
establishments records with the likely needs of the residents and respond accordingly.
• To encourage residents to maintain their independence by allowing them to undertake such normal, personal daily living activities for which they are individual capable.
• d. Where necessary, to assist and encourage the residents to maintain Orthodox Jewish practice
• To assist night time routinue,and to ensure all residents are comfortable.
Wages will depend on experience, knowledge and skills
