SRI LANKA / Smartbody Colombo
Smartbody Colombo will be the premier boutique Pilates studio in Colombo, Sri Lanka upon its opening on December 15, 2012. Smartbody will also feature indoor cycling, yoga, group fitness and suspension training. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic, and most importantly, adventurous Pilates instructors to join our team for a 6-month, work-abroad, paid fellowship. Candidates should be passionate and compassionate about fitness and working with clients from all walks of life with a variety of different fitness goals. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and cultural adaptability are mandatory.
Smartbody Colombo is American-owned and managed and features brand-new Stott Pilates equipment including SPX Max and V2 Max reformers, Cadillac, Split-Pedal Stability Chairs, Ladder Barrel, and assorted barrels — a first for Sri Lanka.
The minimum qualifications include:
— Pilates Instructor Certification from an internationally recognized program/school in mat and reformer.
— Demonstrated ability to lead a group class, deliver individualized attention, and personally connect with clients.
— Current first aid/CPR/AED certification.
— Experience in developing individual programming to include postural analysis, modifications and adaptations, and considerations to injuries, special populations, and varying fitness levels.
— The ability to relocate to Colombo, Sri Lanka for a 6-month commitment.
— Fluency in English.
— Experience in indoor cycling, yoga, and suspension training a plus.
