KENYA / Fursa Children’s Centre
Fursa Children’s Centre is a rehabilitation centre for the street children of Isiolo based in Bula Pesa, Kenya. The intention of the program is to provide food, shelter, medical care, counseling and education to children from troubled or impoverished backgrounds. With the success of our program, the community has increasingly grown to rely on Fursa Children’s Centre pushing the need for expansion.
We are expanding our centre in order to provide our children with an environment that will empower them with the skills needed to navigate their own paths to happiness and independence in life. We are seeking help from travelers passing through or volunteers that would like to come to Kenya simply to contribute to this goal.

If you have experience in the following areas, we need you;
• Teaching English
• Teaching Music or Theatre
• Agriculture, Farming or Gardening
• Construction or Building
Your primary job will be as an English teacher in our centre but your days may also be spent playing and mentoring our street children.
We are looking for commitments of 1, 3 or 6 months at a time. We can provide you with food, accommodation and a chance to be a part of something important.
