The British School of Nanjing is an international school for expatriate children. It is the first to offer the British Curriculum in Nanjing and is one of the fastest growing schools in the region. BSN is part of the British Schools Group – a British education group with schools throughout Asia. The school is under foreign management and more than half of the staff are expatriate.
BSN is seeking several native English-speaking Teaching Assistants to work in class alongside the teacher to deliver the UK curriculum to classes of up to 22 well-behaved children.
Requirements: Applicants are expected to be enthusiastic, patient, native-speaking, have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years post-graduate work experience.
These positions include a return flight allowance (equivalent to London-Nanjing return ticket), full international medical insurance, furnished accommodation, a 12-month contract (August 1st 2012-July 31st 2013), generous holidays (200 working days in total provide ample opportunity to travel within China and Asia with like-minded colleagues) and a good salary – alongside the opportunity to work and live in Nanjing, China’s former historic capital.
