Carer needed for English elderly lady in Germany

GERMANY / Hazel Britton

I am looking for a full-time carer (male or female) for my 88-year-old mother who is presently living in a nursing home in Kent but whom I would like to bring with me to live in Germany. My mother can eat and drink herself and walk a little with support but she needs to be lifted and needs full assistance with toileting, dressing and washing and getting ready for bed. The next important things are companionship, conversation and stimulation – which I believe she doesn’t get at the nursing home.

The carer should speak good German and fluent English and have substantial experience of working with elderly people and understanding of dementia. My mother’s dementia is mild vascular and it has mainly affected her speech in that she is often at a loss for words.

The carer should also have excellent references and a clean driving licence would be useful.

First of all please send an email if you are interested. Then I will arrange to meet you in Kent and you can get to know my mother. This would be part of the interview.
