The Academy are looking to develop a new range of international learning experiences from internships to social entrepreneurship training hubs targeting graduates and young professionals who are looking to obtain practical experience as part of a work placement with organisations across Europe. The Academy will promote these opportunities as unique international learning experiences which are critical for those looking to get a head start in today’s competitive job market place.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities will be varied, but ultimately the position provides an understanding of business development through:
– Providing general support to the Business Director
– Assisting with development and implementation of marketing strategies
– Learning and practicing sales processes
– Strategy development and implementation
– Providing assistance in the maintenance and development of website
– Outreach to potential host/ partner organisations and the media
– Liaise and attend meetings with members of other departments
– Qualifications/ Skills Required:
As the role is varied it is important that the successful intern has an ability to learn and take new systems/ processes on board quickly.
The minimum requirements are
– Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
– Some experience in web design/ web systems is desirable
– Be well organised
– Have an interest in business development
– Confidence to use own initiative and work independently
Other Details:
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to commit to a 6 month duration (part time)
Included:
Timings flexible, but in general upon completion of 3 days per week for 6 months, a free 10 week GVI expedition (sister company) placement is provided.
Subsequent long-term paid work (either in UK or overseas) may be available subject to availability and suitability.
