We are looking for tour leaders to lead our tours in various destinations in 2011 & 2012.
Do you have what it takes to provide our clients with the Adventure of a Life Time? We are looking for someone who enjoys adventure travel and is able to share their passion and enthusiasm with our clients.
Are you a keen traveler with extensive travel experience? Do you have travel experience in any of the following areas?
Latin America, the Middle East, South East Asia, Eastern Europe, Russia and East & Southern Africa.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the welfare and general enjoyment of our clients which means being on call 24 hours a day. You will need to be very friendly, helpful and outgoing. You must have the confidence to handle the various situations which may accompany adventure travel, and have the ability to adapt and relate to people from various back grounds. You will have to display excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills. You must be able to document tour costs and keep company information up to date. You will also be responsible for accurate completion of your own accounts and expenses whilst working.
Applicants MUST:
* be able to commit to an 18 month contract
* be able to pay the transport fare to relocate to the destination required. This will then be reimbursed throughout the duration of your contract.
* be able to take initiative and make decisions and work with a broad range of people.
* be prepared to study independently within the destination in which they are employed so that our clients are provided with accurate information as they travel
* be able to provide at least two recent relevant references from previous places of employment and by doing so, give their consent for reference verification with these companies
Preference will be given to candidates who:
* are confident and effective communicators
* have leadership experience
* have customer service experience
* have previous travel experience in the destination applied for
* are self motivated and enthusiastic
* have an understanding of or have participated in group travel
• languages would also be a considerable advantage (applicants for positions in Latin America must have a good level of spoken Spanish)
