GHANA / The Ladybug Project Inc
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for interns aged 21+ intent on moving forward in the fields of education, healthcare, or international development and relations; a strong belief in community participation and grassroots advancement; ability to work with a multi-cultural team and in a developing country; and some prior experience working or living overseas.
We do not accept everyone to our internship, as we seek only the most committed volunteers for our Ghanaian project sites. In addition, we ask that interns plan on spending a minimum of three months with our organization, however, shorter internships will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
What You Will Gain:
You will have the opportunity to delve into a hands-on international development and aid work experience. Our internships are not short-term, volunteer-tourism and are for people who are interested in learning about the Ghanaian culture and people, being welcomed into the community, and making invaluable connections in the West African field of education and healthcare development. Finally, there are significant opportunities to move upward through The Ladybug Project Inc. pending a internship completion.
Program cost:
$650 per month (includes ALL in-country housing, food, a cook, and work-related transportation).
Also responsible for your own flight costs and travel insurance.
