THE HOTELS:
Fazenda Catuçaba is a true rural idyll situated amongst the rolling hills in the countryside 30 minutes from the historical town of São Luiz do Paraitinga, 1 ½ hours from Pousada Picinguaba and 2 ½ hours from São Paulo. The property’s 450 hectares (1,100 acres) include an operational organic farm, rivers, lakes and expansive views from the mountaintops.
Pousada Picinguaba overlooks a peaceful bay at the heart of the Natural Park of Serra do Mar, the tropical coastal forest running between Rio and São Paulo, about half an hour’s drive south of Paraty. It is the only charming hotel in a 30km radius. It faces the sea and a 3 km-long protected sandy beach. The hotel offers 10 comfortable rooms all opening onto the natural surroundings and the sea, including a dream honeymoon suite with en-suite jacuzzi and a breathtaking view of the ocean. The local road stops at the beach and one has to walk the last 250m to the hotel, nestled in the forest. Everything here is attuned to the spirit of the place, with nothing to disturb nature’s magic: no TV or telephone in the rooms, no Internet, no air-conditioning. This place is for you to be in a different world.

THE JOB :
Our hotels organize activities for its clients: kayaking, surfing, snorkelling, rafting, hiking and horse riding. The main mission of the volunteer will be to accompany the clients during the activity, presenting them the nature and the history of the place while always ensuring their safety.
As one of the hotel opened recently, the volunteer will also be involved in various other activities such as construction, attendance and kitchen help.
We are looking for a volunteer to help the GM and the staff receiving the clients.
The candidate should know how to ride a horse, be able to work autonomously and inclined to discover a new country, a new culture and learn a new language.
Situated in the countryside, the volunteer should like nature, sport and children. He should be adaptable and proactive.
We are looking for someone dynamic, with previous international experience
The hotel will offer a room, laundry and meals to the worker. A working visa is not required.
A good English is required and Portuguese would be a plus.
Our clients are from everywhere (Americas and Europe), so a good knowledge of various languages can be useful. 2 volunteers wanted.
Availability: immediately, for 6 months minimum.
Experience required: yes, past experience in tourism or hotel business would be appreciated
