MEXICO / Volunteer Latin America
This project is dedicated to the welfare of Mayan families and rural communities. It is looking for volunteers to share their time, knowledge, and skills with rural Mayan people. Volunteers pass on job-related skills to young Mayans via independent education workshops. Volunteers can run computer skills workshops, teach foreign languages (English, German, French), hospitality related classes, green awareness, nutrition and cooking classes, etc. In their spare time volunteers can explore ancient Mayan temples and enjoy the regions eco-cultural wonders.
There is no cost to participate and volunteers receive free (high quality) accommodation, a daily light lunch, and a free wireless internet connection.
