SOUTH AMERICA / Volunteer Latin America
This project is committed to supporting disadvantaged children and families in poor neighbourhoods. It is seeking both temporary and long-term volunteers, with and without skills. Volunteers can help with administration, fundraising, and publicity, and/or teach classes and work on health projects such as HIV education to children. This is a great opportunity to witness the operation of a grassroots organization while enjoying everything the Caribbean coast has to offer (i.e. stunning dive sites and magical jungle trekking). There is plenty of free time to take Spanish or dive courses, explore nearby areas, or just relax on the beach.
Apart from a £30 one-off administration fee there is no cost to participate. Volunteers cover their own living expenses. The project can help with accommodation (including homestays), Spanish and Latin dance classes, travel advice in the surrounding area.
