BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS / Cooper Island Beach Club
We are looking for an experienced Facilities/Maintenance Manager to oversee all related activities on our island-based beach resort in the Caribbean. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for preserving and enhancing the resort’s infrastructure and ensuring that all front and back of house facilities are safe and functioning without disruptions of the daily operations.
He or she will be able to manage installations, repairs, and ensure the overall operating standards for our very busy front and back of house facilities are being guaranteed. Duties will include but are not limited to maintaining machinery, planning, and scheduling offsite contractors and developing solid maintenance schedules for a small onsite team.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a good understanding of all or most of the following points: engineering, solar installations, heating, plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, desalination plants and sewage treatment/bio reactor systems whilst having strong organization and leadership skills. The Facilities Manager must be able to plan larger repair or construction projects strategically and financially.
Experience with boats is an advantage.
This is a remote island-based position with onsite living quarters. The resort is open 10 months a year. 24 hours on call and long hours in humid conditions may be required, therefore being physically fit is a must.
