Volunteer and Adventure Tour in India

This volunteer project will involve teaching in a local school, which is attended by children from underprivileged families. Volunteers will assist local teachers in the classrooms, and also take small-group tuitions and activity sessions before and after school. The focus will be on improving the conversational English as well as introducing arts, sports and other activities.

After volunteering enjoy 2 weeks travelling around Southern India where you will experience island life on a homestay, savour the scents of spice and tea plantations, join pilgrims in Madurai, soak up the French influences in Pondicherry, cycle around the fishing village of Mamallapuram, travel to the Keshava Temple at Somnathpur, safari into the jungle, and learn the secrets of snooker in Ooty.

Highlights

Learning new skills while caring for and teaching underprivileged children. Experiencing a new culture through its people, cooking lessons, traditional dance performances and travelling around India. During the tour you will explore South India’s beautiful backwaters, wildlife sanctuary’s, gorgeous temples, the mist-clad Nilgiri hills. You will also meet with locals in their fishing villages and tribal homes, joining them on buses or boats, bazaars or even on a pilgrimage.
