6 month Restoration Crew Internship positions available – an opportunity for students of Environmental science/Ecology or related fields to gain field experience on Aspen Stand Improvement projects in the Lake Tahoe Basin as well as trail construction projects in the Sierra Nevada and Ruby Mountain Ranges.

Dates: 16th May – 19th November 2011
Internship Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at a foreign degree or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the United States, or; Have graduated from such an institute no more than 12 months prior to the programme start date (as from May 2010); Are studying or have studied a subject in the domain of Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology or a related field;
Programme cost: There is a one off application cost of £180 to take part in this internship programme, a $300, non-refundable, visa processing fee and a refundable $150 security deposit.
Compensation: Interns will receive a living stipend of $3,375 for the 27 week programme. This is not an hourly wage or salary and is paid to members bi-monthly throughout the programme. Interns are also provided with lodging facilities.
