We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working teachers to join us for the coming school year (from September 2020 to the end of June 2021) in Ermua, a town perfectly located in the middle of the Basque Country (north of Spain). Teachers will be required to teach children, teenagers, and adults of all levels.
The average teaching week is 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Most of the lessons are in the afternoon or evening, but it is possible that some classes will take place in the morning.
The contract is a full and legal contract providing health and Social Security cover. The Christmas, Easter, and national holidays are paid.
Full assistance with accommodation for teachers is provided in Eibar, a vibrant city a short distance from Ermua (due to the nature of the living arrangement, it is not possible to accommodate applicants’ partners).
Details of Position/Qualifications:
We are offering a contract for the current academic year on a full-time basis.
The academy runs classes from 7:00am – 9:30pm on Monday to Friday, so applicants must be prepared to teach a class at any point during these hours. The average teaching week is 25 hours (not including administration and planning time). We offer various English courses, including general English, business English and preparation for official Cambridge English exams.
Successful candidates will have a university degree as well as a CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL certificate (or equivalent), as well as one year’s previous experience in General English, teaching adults, young learners, and/or Business English. Experience teaching preschoolers and preparing students for Cambridge English exams will be highly valuable.
