We are seeking a live-in nanny to work in conjunction with a senior special needs educator placed by SNAP, to work predominantly with ‘S’ who is two. ‘S’ does not have a formal diagnosis, but has a language and developmental delay. He has two sisters; a twin and older sister aged 7. ‘S’ has progressed really well and is following several therapies which have been very beneficial, especially regarding his speech and language. We are seeking someone who will follow through, implementing therapies and strategies and pay close attention to ‘S’s general development. This role does not require extensive special needs experience, but we are looking for someone who has excellent experience with this age group and someone who will understand the importance of consistency and ability to work as part of a small team. We are looking for someone who is mature, understanding of cultural differences, who would welcome the opportunity to commit to a family long-term. We hope that someone will take the lead at some point in the future, once the educator’s role comes to a natural end.
