PERU / Sharing Dreams Project
Sharing dreams Project invites you to participate and develop your professional abilities in a project aimed at providing support and assistance to women who come from migrant families from areas within the Peruvian Andes, and that have been affected by political violence, social, economic and cultural marginalisation And extreme poverty (Ayacucho, Huancavelica, central rainforest etc.) areas declared in extreme poverty in Peru.
The project is being developed in the Mantaro Valley, in the Peruvian Andes, in areas where there is a lack of basic services and hygiene. The focus is on dysfunctional families that suffer from problems of Sexism, domestic violence, alcoholism, among others.
It is also important to note that most of these people have emotional or psychological sequels sadly inherited from the past internal war that has suffered Peru in the 1980-2005 decades.
We intervene directly in these areas and communities, using a holistic approach and undertaking direct social work. We offer talks, workshops and visits (psychology, organization, emotional support and more), as well as activities around economic education, fostering group organization and mutual support in order to them to face their tough situation.
We are a civil organization that promotes an alternative form of non-commercial volunteering, operating with a flat structure and working directly with communities to promote their self-development. Our projects are undertaken in the same communities and populations, with our own hands and resources, without intermediaries. In addition, we offer a real and fun method of cultural exchange as:
-Formation and continuous consultancy by an advisor specialized in social and cultural issues.
-work in a team with a very human relationship.
-constancy issued by a legally established non-profit organization
-Improve your level of English in a theoretical and mainly practical.
-exchange courses in: Peruvian meals, desserts or cocktails.
