Volunteer Partnerships for West Africa (VPWA) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit NGO based in Ghana.
VPWA is currently recruiting volunteers to work in its After-School Project in the GA West Municipal area. The program’s goal is to engage young people in football (soccer), an activity that helps them train their strength and harness their talents.
This project, the first of its kind in the GA West Municipal Area, has helped youngsters become disciplined as well as role models in their homes.
Moreover, VPWA instructs these kids in HIV/AIDS and other STD prevention.
Volunteers are required to work with the youths from 3:30pm to 7pm from Tuesday to Friday and occassionaly, take part in community football matches at weekends.

Physical Trainer
Coach
Health Assistant
Football Players
Candidates are required to commit for a minimum of 4 weeks. This opportunity is open all year round.
General requirements:
• At least age 18 (no maximum age limit);
• Good knowledge of English language
• Strong commitment to values and principles of volunteerism;
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
• Ability to adjust in difficult living and working conditions;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Project fee: 400 EUR per month.
Fees include:

– Mobile phone SIM card number.
– Accra City tour
– Internet access (at VPWA’s HQ).
– Certificate of Recognition and an opportunity to serve as a VPWA ambassador in your city, college or community.
