Volunteer Partnerships for West Africa (VPWA) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit NGO based in Ghana.
As part of our effort to economically empower women, VPWA is currently recruiting volunteers to assist local African women in the daily running of their micro enterprises. This is an excellent opportunity to understand the struggle many women fight for economic emancipation as well as comprehend African economics.
This project is taking place in Ofankor, Pokuase and Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region and Santrokofi-Bume near Hohoe in the Volta Region.
Moreover, VPWA is also recruiting volunteers for its ongoing Moringa Farm Project in Santrofi-Bume near Hohoe (Volta Region). Apart from helping local women with record keeping and daily payment tasks, candidates will be helping women with Moringa processing activities and farming activities.
There is no special skills required as candidates will be trained upon arrival.
Candidates are required to commit for a minimum of 2 weeks.
General requirements:
• At least age 18 (no maximum age limit);
• Good knowledge of English language
• Strong commitment to values and principles of volunteerism;
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
• Ability to adjust in difficult living and working conditions;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Project fee: 400 EUR per month.
Fees include:
– Accommodation and meals.

– 24 hour support contact services
– Pre-departure Orientation.
– Mobile phone SIM card number.
– Accra City tour
– Internet access (at VPWA’s HQ).
– Certificate of Recognition and an opportunity to serve as a VPWA ambassador in your city, college or community.
