Cook/Chef Required

SPAIN / Claire Murray-Walker

Seasonal Work 1st April – 31st October 2017
Cook/Chef English speaking, ideally some Spanish as well.

We are a small 6-bedroom boutique hotel with strong eco credentials, situated in a rural location in the heart of Andalucia, half way between Granada and Cordoba; with a focus on culture, outdoor activities, nature and responsible tourism.

We serve home-cooked meals here for our guests including breakfast daily, light lunches on demand and evening meals 5 nights a week – always using quality, locally-sourced, seasonal produce. Our dinners could be described as “healthy Spanish Mediterranean” in style.

We need an excellent cook/chef to prepare an evening meal, four nights a week. You must have experience and be able to provide a menu, offering 2 starter options, two mains and a home-made dessert.

You must be an excellent cook, passionate about food and well organized. The ideal candidate must be sociable, responsible, and enthusiastic. You must enjoy working as part of a team. Due to our remote, rural location you would need to enjoy the countryside and be able to adapt to a more isolated environment.

You would work 5 days a week. We would pay 1000 euros per month, in addition to free accommodation and full board. Your accommodation will be on site, comprising of a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom and private outside terrace.

Please send your CV, with all relevant studies and experience included, along with contact details for any work references given.

Please provide a covering letter with information about you with a photo and description of why you are suitable for the role. Please also include your suggested menu plan for 3 evenings, each including two starters, two mains and a dessert.
