This role is crucial to the delivery, sustainability and development of the highest quality care and support for street dogs in Sri Lanka. This is a very rare opportunity to be instrumental in shaping the future of a region-wide clinical operation and care service for street dogs in the South of Sri Lanka. This is a new post and an exciting prospect for candidates with tenacity and vision looking to make an impact. Whilst managing and strategizing the marketing & PR, the post, being based in Sri Lanka, will ensure that the successful candidate enjoys the sunnier quality of life and leisure opportunities associated with the area such as surf, yoga, safari, whale watching and much more.
About Us
WECare Worldwide is a UK registered charity, set up in October 2014 and is managed on the ground in Sri Lanka by veterinary surgeon Janey Lowes. WECare Worldwide aim is to provide a high level of veterinary expertise to animals that don’t have access to any other form of healthcare. All of the expertise is delivered for FREE. Please help us on our mission.
Key Components of the Role
• Develop and maintain a marketing schedule that helps deliver the marketing strategy.
• Monitor and analyse results to help inform further marketing activity, and amending plans/activity in light of results.
• Monitor and report on KPI performance, and adjusting plans/activity to ensure KPI targets and agreed marketing priorities are achieved.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure marketing output is accurate, and activity is in line with departmental priorities across the charity.
• Keep internal partners informed of progress on marketing campaigns.
• Work with colleagues in other departments to implement media and social media campaigns to support the charity’s marketing objectives.
• Maintain and contribute to digital platforms.
• Ensure content is continually created for Social Media Platforms
• Create and provide marketing collateral and ensure all marketing material is relevant and up-to-date.
• Utilise opportunities for Promotion through all PR channels
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
• Excellent understanding of marketing principles, including testing and response analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to write and edit copy for a wide range of audiences
• Good understanding of marketing techniques and channels; ideally gained within a not-for-profit organisation
• Keen attention to detail
• A self-starter, enthusiastic and keen to take the initiative
• Good time-management skills
• An understanding of campaigning, fundraising and volunteering
• Ability to develop effective working relationship with colleagues from across the organization
Desirable
• Experience of Graphic Design
• Love for Dogs
