CENTRAL AMERICA / Volunteer Latin America
This small equestrian school teaches dressage, jumping and recreational riding. It is looking for experienced riders (volunteers) or interns. Volunteers carry out various tasks such as helping take care of the horses and supervising interns during morning/evening feed and stall cleaning. Volunteers may also be called upon to help with hay and other deliveries that can arrive at random times during the day.
The equestrian internships are aimed at beginner or intermediate riders interested in a hands-on experience with horses. Interns work directly with the horses, helping administer medicines and deal with each horses individual needs. Interns also help with general stable care and management. Interns have the opportunity to improve their riding skills and visit several traditional stables to witness the local horse culture. No experience necessary.
There is no charge to volunteer. A private room and all meals are provided. The internship costs £12 per day which includes a private room and all meals.
