Location: Colchester, Chelmsford, Uttlesford – Dunmow and Saffron Walden, Braintree, The Hedinghams, Halstead, Witham and all villages surrounding these towns.
Our client is an independent family owned domiciliary care agency providing care and support to people living in Essex and Suffolk. They have been established for over 20 years and have care teams providing care and support to people in their own homes. Community Care is an extremely rewarding career, particularly when you are enabling vulnerable people to remain safe and comfortable in their own Homes the Care assistant Role.
Remuneration:
You will be paid a basic hourly rate for the hours you work. In addition you will be paid holiday pay. Your rates of pay are:
Basic Weekday Hours £ 7.64
Weekend Hours £ 8.91
Bank Holiday £ 13.62
+ increased rates for evenings and weekend work.
Each day will commence with registration at 9:00am and conclude at 4:00pm
You will get paid every four weeks, subject to time-sheets being successfully completed and handed in to head office on time.
Benefits:
• We will lend you a car for the duration of your employment and a fuel card to pay for petrol (the car will be strictly for business use only)
The Care Assistant Role:

As a Home Care Assistant you will:
• Assist and support service users with all aspects of their personal care whilst helping them to maintain their independence
• Offer stimulation and motivation through conversation, reading, writing, hobbies, recreation and support service users to maintain links in their community and family
• Undertake practical tasks which will include laundry, shopping, housework and generally helping service users maintain their homes, as well as meal preparation, feeding assistance, assisting with medication and supporting service users with their nutritional needs
• Play a key role within the organisation and be fully supported
