Work in the marketing and administration of a textile cooperative with indigenous roots

GUATEMALA / Proyecto Mosaico e.V

The project supports a group of Tz`utujiles women making handmade textiles with natural dyes and colors. Since the introduction of synthetic dyes, the traditional way of using plants as tint has been more or less abandoned. The association preserves this ancient technique in order to have a broad variety of high quality products (100% natural). Currently, the association consists of 30 women of different ages. Recently they have started to export products to the United States hoping to be able to do the same in other countries.
