Brighton Education are looking for English Speaking Teaching Assistants for our education improvement projects in rural schools, and kindergartens in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
This is an internship vacancy designed for (but by no means exclusive to) gap-year and pre-university candidates who wish to spend some time living and working in Southeast Asia, experiencing the life and culture first-hand whilst gaining invaluable work experience.
The role includes assisting teachers with student activities both in and outside the classroom as well as community projects.
Internship work experience opportunities range from; 3, 6 or 12 month contracts.
Successful candidates must:
– Have good English proficiency
– Be able to interact with students, teachers and the community with good communication skills and adaptability to work in multi cultural and rural environments
– Be positive, enthusiastic, resourceful and self-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity
– Have other interests in fields such as sports, performing arts, music etc.
Package includes internship allowance (USD$150pcm), paid leave, accommodation, visas, induction and orientation programmes (including basic teaching) and airfare reimbursement.
